Revolution at Frombork

From cathedral turret - the rite of night,
A bare celestial ballet,
Witnessing stars in sylphlike flight,
Copernicus disobeyed,
The testimony of Ptolemy.
With both eyes open, he dispossessed
The ego of the Almagest.

Heaven’s transcendent minuet,
Un pas de plus de deux,
A constituent, we pirouette.
The lantern of the universe,
And our own naked mother earth,
Commune and together sow a seed,
By which all things come to be.

I looked up,
And there was my sun,
With ambrosian cups overflowing,
At rest - inthe centre of all.
I the earth and you the sun,
Play me a tune and may ballet begin.
