Colin's instrumental music has been published by Bardic Edition, Corda Music, Chanterelle, The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) and Mel Bay. His compositions are used as test pieces for the National Youth Guitar Ensemble, (NYGE)

Writing technically accessible and appealing music for students, is one of the most challnging briefs a composer ever receives. All of these pieces aim to do just that, but some "missed the goal" and ended up at a more moderate level of difficulty. Colin was commissioned by the Beaumaris Brass Band to write a piece for them to play at the Beaumaris Festival. The piece NEIDOD TWM BACH is a slip jig in 9/8 time. Rhythmically interesting and extremely lively, it has a melancholic slow central section which offers contrast to the outer more dance-like sections.
